Consuming Kids - The Commercialization of Childhood

Let me tell you one thing, when I was a little boy all I ever wanted is to ride my bike as fast and as far as I can, that's pretty much what I can remember from those days. I see kids today and new parents and I feel a little itch in my belly when I notice how much money one needs to have to invest in today's latest attractions, so many games, toys, technologies and such, I really don't get it, do we really need all of that? our kids? have we become a mad nation of obsessive consumerism? I doubt it, something tells me there is much more under the table here, the advertising agencies are working full time to pump us and our kids with the latest of the greatest and trust me when I tell you, they don't really care about you or your kids, it's your money and hunger for more that they are productivity working on... vultures!

Watch this movie if you dare, and if you have kids, think twice before you invest in something you have no idea why they want it?!?

Consuming Kids throws desperately needed light on the practices of a relentless multi-billion dollar marketing machine that now sells kids and their parents everything from junk food and violent video games to bogus educational products and the family car. Drawing on the insights of health care professionals, children's advocates, and industry insiders, the film focuses on the explosive growth of child marketing in the wake of deregulation, showing how youth marketers have used the latest advances in psychology, anthropology, and neuroscience to transform American children into one of the most powerful and profitable consumer demographics in the world. Consuming Kids pushes back against the wholesale commercialization of childhood, raising urgent questions about the ethics of children's marketing and its impact on the health and well-being of kids.

Beautiful Losers.

Being an artist is no picnic kids!

From my own perspective it's probably the best and worst choice I ever made in this life time, to follow my heart to the very end of the universe, alone or with the rest of the world, the choice to find different creative ways to express my inner core is what I wake up in the morning for, and the more I dive into myself the more tools and ways to express myself and connect to the world pops out, it's all I care about and it's what I decided to do with all of my time.

Beautiful Losers is powerful, beautiful creative documentary about people who believe in self expression to a point of almost artistic madness, god bless these beautiful souls...
what the movie, it will do you good...or not!
